  2. History of the Thunderbird The Ford Thunderbird was first produced in February 1953 in retaliation to the Chevy Corvette. Like the Corvette, the T-Bird has a two seat coupe, convertible layout. It was manufactured and redesigned several times until 2005 when the last of the Ford Thunderbirds was produced. It had eleven model generations and its main market niche was that it was the “personal luxury car”.

  3. The Myth, The Legend, The Car. There were over 16,000 first edition Thunderbirds sold in 1955. Celebrities definitely wanted a hold of this car. Some famous Thunderbird owners include Frank Sinatra (1955 model), Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe (1956), Elvis Presley (1962), and many more.

  4. Inside the Car • For a 1955 Ford Thunderbird Model • V8 making 215 horsepower • 150 MPH speedometer • 102.0 inches (2,591 mm) wheelbase frame
