  3. The moment we’ve all been waiting for… CONVENTION! • Annual convention held in Alexandria • Members (called delegates) from all over the state • Variety of young adult activities • Special guest speakers, authors, and illustrators • Friendly Competition!

  4. How do I begin a club? • Look around your library • Pull together those with similar interest • Look for potential leaders • Find a mentor

  5. What next? • Plan ahead • Get Active– school and/or community. • Celebrate! • Plug into LASL & LTLA • Mentorship • Information • Support
