Geometry Chapter 3 Cipollone
Vocabulary Parallel lines- two lines on the same plane and do not intersect. Perpendicular lines- two lines intersect to form right angles. Skew lines- skew lines do not lie on the same plane and do not intersect.
Vocabulary Line perpendicular to a plane- line that intersects a plane and is perpendicular to ever line in the plane. Parallel planes- two planes that do not intersect.
Theorems All right angles are congruent. If two lines are perpendicular they intersect to form four right angles. If two lines intersect to form adjacent congruent angles, then the lines are perpendicular.

Vocabulary Transversal- a line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at different points.
Vocabulary Corresponding Angles- angles in corresponding positions. Alternate Interior Angles- lie between two lines on opposite sides of the transversal.
Vocabulary Identify the corresponding, alternate exterior, alternate interior and same side interior angles.
