Dietary needs (Lunch) • 800 Calories • 17 g of Protein • 20-32 g of Fat (20 g of saturated fat) • 434 mg of calcium and 4mg of Iron • 10-11 g of fiber • 12-13 g of Vitamin C and 2 mcg (67 IU) of Vitamin D
Stall 1 (Coffee and bread) • Students are often busy and have little time to eat. • Therefore, they choose their food based on the shortest queue (Stall 1).
The meal The meal usually comprises of • 2 ham and cheese sandwiches
Nutritional value • 398 Calories • 20 g of Protein • 14 g of Fat (7.4 g of saturated fat) • 156 mg of calcium and 2.44 mg of Iron • 1.8 g of fiber • 0g of Vitamin C and 0.5 mcg ( 17IU) of Vitamin D
Evaluation • It is clear that the meal does not satisfy the nutritional needs of the students. • It only provides sufficient protein
Our meal • We suggest that the school further stagger Recess and Lunch times • to allow all or almost all the students to eat a proper meal such as the Economical rice • which will definitely provide sufficient nutrition.
