  1. Shift: Chapters 5,6,7,8 By Jennifer Bradbury Summary by; Wil Whittaker, Chris Johnson, Justin Arnold, and Brendan Grant

  2. Chapter 5 In this chapter, Chris catches up with his mom on the phone, and talks about Ward, the F.B.I. agent, that has a visit with Chris two chapters before. He also talks to his father who asks him what happened and Chris tells him, “Everything dad… Everything”. Setting- In Chris’ dorm room

  3. Chapter 6 In this chapter Chris’ parents ask Win’s mother to dinner. They go to a place that Win’s mother thinks is disgusting. Win’s parents brag about Win’s successes and don’t seem to care that Win is going on a cross country bike ride and that he’ll be gone for about two months, which worries, Chris’ parents. Setting- Restaurant

  4. Chapter 7 Chris goes into his Literature class, and ponders loosing the class, but after seeing his entertaining instructor, Dr. Flynn Lenoir he decides to stay. What makes Chris stay in the class for good is the first girl that he’s been attracted to since the bike ride, Avantika. Setting- Dr. Flynn Lenoir’s Literature class

  5. Chapter 8 They are on the road and need a place to stay, and stop at a campsite, but see no tents. They meet the crazy landlord that takes orders from a child’s flashlight. They leave after realizing the man was out of his mind. They bike down the road, Chris sees that the next nearest campsite is too far to ride in the dark, so they decide to ‘scamp’ (camp in a random place that’s not a campsite). They find a place close to a church but soon realize that this church is having service that night. Two members of the church ask Win and Chris to join them, they do. Setting- The road, and the church
