Grooming • 38’ x 60’
Kitchen 11’ x 11’
Office • 17’ x 20’
Restroom • 12’ x 16’
How it Changed • It started the size of the Drafting classroom which was about 40’ x 20’ • Then I changed it to 60’ x 76’ to make room for all the shelving I wanted to put into it.
Research • I looked on the web for other pet shops and their sizes. • I tried to find some sites how big the shelves and checkouts are but I couldn’t find any. • I also looked on the web and found pictures of dogs and cats to put into my Pet Mansion.
I went to the Paw and Claw Pet Palace in Dickinson and asked questions about their shop. • They told me their shop was about a block long and about 30’ wide. • They also told me they had a kitchen so that if some the puppies or any other of the animals needed a special food they could make it there.
Software Used • AutoCad 2007 • Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007 • Autodesk Viz 2007
End Result • I put some animals in the kennels and in the grooming part. • I also put people in the shop.
Conclusion • I learned how to get pictures from the internet and put them in Viz. • What I would do differently would probably be to make the checkouts and stations look more like checkouts and stations and figure out a way to put items on the shelves. • Overall I really liked the results of my project.
