Introduction Definition : Can be defined as s a specialised organization of the United Nations (UN) that leads global efforts to conquer famine in both developed and developing countries. Purpose : ensure a good nutrition and food security for all humans, and also helps developing countries and countries in transition modernize and improve agriculture, fisheries and forestry practices. Function : collects, analyses and disseminates information, recommend governments on planning and policy, serves as an global forum for discussing food and agricultural issues, approving global standards and agreements and so on.
