Unemployment • Unemployment is the thestateofbeing out of work, especiallyinvoluntarily • The Unemployment rate is determined by dividing all the unemployed by the people currently in the labor force • People Not Included: • People under 16 • Inmates • Non-Civilian Population (Armed Forces) • People who do not have a job, and who have not been actively seeking work in the prior 4 weeks
