  22. Staff Meeting • This college has a reputation of being a place employees want to stay for the long term. Why do you think employees stay here a long time? • What opportunities do you have to get involved in college governance and professional development? • How well are the all college In-service sessions working? • What is your understanding of Mission Fulfillment for the college? • What do you know about the Institutional Assessment Plan? • Can someone explain the link between Strategic Plan and the Mission-fulfillment Assessment? What are some examples of “institutional improvements” you have seen occur as a result of planning & assessment ? • Describe your involvement and input into the core themes? • What do you think are the biggest challenges for the college in the next 3-5 years?

  23. Student Meeting • How many of you attended the new student orientation? In what ways do you feel it helped you? • How involved are students in college governance? • How would you describe the financial aid services and resources at SCC? • How well does the college maintain sufficient and/or provide access to library and information resources? • Sufficiency of technology resources? • What can you tell us about the student learning outcomes? • What is your understanding of how students give their input into the Faculty Evaluation process? How well do you think it is going? • Academic Freedom policies are explained within College Policy and the collective bargaining agreement. What is the atmosphere on your campus regarding students being free to examine and test all knowledge appropriate to their discipline or area of major study? • Do you feel students have a good understanding of their rights and responsibilities and the student code of conduct? • Other comments?

Faculty Meeting • How do you integrate information literacy into the curriculum? • How involved are faculty in curriculum development? • What can you tell us about the student learning outcomes? • What is your understanding of the Faculty Evaluation process for tenure-track faculty, tenured faculty, and adjunct faculty? How well do you think it is being accomplished? • How involved are faculty in college governance? • What is your understanding of Mission Fulfillment the college? • Academic Freedom policies are explained within College Policy and the collective bargaining agreement. What is the atmosphere on your campus regarding faculty being free to examine and test all knowledge appropriate to their discipline or area of major study? • How has faculty been involved in the selection of new faculty? • How well does the college maintain sufficient and/or provide access to library and information resources? • How satisfied are faculty with the technology resources? • Overall, how involved are adjunct faculty in the activities we have been discussing? How many today are adjunct faculty? • Other comments?
