Introduction • The Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture has been used in the understanding of enterprise architecture • By introducing the modelling of decisional time horizons (using the GRAI-Grid) we aim to foster integration of the intra and inter-enterprise operations within an enterprise network

Conclusions • Using the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture as a matrix that cross-combines enterprise aspects and perspectives and • Thru the conceptual integration of Zachman / GRAI-grid we analysed the business model of a network of enterprises, which was further illustrated with a case study in the apparel industry.
Conclusions • This type of analysis can be further extended to cover all other perspectives of the network enterprise. • This approach can be particularly useful when dealing with enterprise networks that have cyclical business models, as is the case of the apparel industry where the network itself is organized and managed according to some well defined time horizons/periods.
