  1. Final Studio Brief Cameron Bland

  2. Process Of Thought • City Scape, Self Directed Photography, Hybrid Character • Which one should I chose? • City Scape –Very open to interpretation. - Lots of resources to look at. - Could use experience from other units. - I have to relate it to the word body, music. - Could require some creative skills - could it or will I become to ambitious

  3. Self Directed photography –My Strongest point. - Easy to achieve, only taking photos. - Too simple, hard to be original as Only Taking Photos. - Very restricted, as only taking photos. Hybrid –Already have experience. - Easy to creative. - My other Character turnout bit too simple.

  4. Development – City Scape • Music - Music Trends, How music effects and influences People and what they wear. - Different subculture that come from music, Goths ect.

  5. Ocean - Flooded city –Building under water - Destruction - Under water city – Little Mermaid - The lost city of atlantes Whilst still deciding which one I should choose to take further, for the ocean Scape I started to draw out some basic ideas of what the building in an under water city would look like. The picture on the left is of a man made building, built for the adaption and survival of mankind underwater. The image in the middle is of a destruction of a city, Idid little drawings like these to get the idea of what would be in the composition of the image an so I could lay things out before going into detail.

  6. Lost city of Atlantes -The lost city of Atlantes is supposedly situated off the west coast of Africa. -Ancient philosopher Plato suggested it was sunk by an earthquake. -It has been the inspiration for many stories, Including the Egyptian priest, and a 1970’s TV Hit. The only realistic underwater city know today is the lost city of Atlantes. I researched about this city to get a better understanding of a lost civilisation. The Lost city is full of stories and mystery like magical and masteries things happening, I would like to apply these to my image to give a atmosphere to my city.

  7. Body My First Idea I came up with was a city Scape made out of Body's, I was going to have hart buildings ect. I did not pursue this idea as it took me about a minuet to come up with so it was almost a little too obvious. My second idea was to have a body made out of a city Scape so I would have different elements make up my body like RSJ’s for arms ect. To gain inspiration for this project I researched the catacombs in France as they are made up of human skeletons.

  8. The Catacombs In France around the 1700’s there were very high problems with finding space to burry people, so the French created an under ground tunnel system which is decorated with the bones of humans.

  9. After deciding to create a human made out of a city Scape I then, chose to develop this further. I felt that the idea was a little too basic so i was going to have a human made out of a city Scape but make the human a little more discreet. In the image about the left road was going to be his left leg, the river on the right was going to be his right leg, the cherry sign was his cherries, the road leading up to the circle was his spine and the circle was his face. I struggle to develop this further and could not figure out the arms so I decided to scrap this idea.

  10. I did attempt to colour it in as I took some inspiration from some of the other students work with their colouring styles. This did not work.

  11. Inspiration Whilst looking for some image of city scapes for inspiration I came across the image on the left, which made me think about doing my city in silloets and keeping it simple. Which also made me look at some of Picassos work as some of that is very simple.

  12. With the idea of a body made up of city parts I began to realise that I human can build a city but a city can also scalped a person. It can influence there culture, the way they act it is an identity of a person. Using the silloet idea and the idea of a person made up of a city a made a little mock up, so I could see what it would look like. I then tried to apply this to a real person as I saw a Photoshop tattoo tutorial, but I couldn't get it to warp round the persons face properly.

  13. With the idea of using photo montage to help create my idea, I began to developed my underwater city. I first tried to make a building out of water trying to keep to the mystical side. Then I tried to combined drawing with photo montage.

  14. This is my finalised image it is of a city that has been flooded by the sea, and I has a man waiting for the bus to show the adaption of the human race.
