Multi- • Definition- a prefix that means “more than one” many of something. • 4 Words with Multi- in them: • Multipurpose • Multimillionaire • Multitasking • Multivitamin Multitasking might seem great; but if you’d just take your time you are more likely to do things right. –Aysia Berry Being a multimillionaire might look great; but if you don’t look out, the ungrateful monster will eat you whole. – Aysia Berry

  3. Fore- • Definition: This prefix means before, ahead of time. If this is attached to a word, the word then means before and the meaning of the word. Ex: Forewarning- a warning ahead of time. • 4 example words: • Forewarning • Forecast • Foretell • Forecastle Paul Revere was the first to give a forewarning to the citizen before the British came. The Princess lied in her castle and waited for her Prince to come.

  4. Hyper- • Definition: This prefix means that the word or object is overexcited. • 4 example words: • Hyper energetic • Hypermarket • Hyperacid • Hyperbolic Casey and her hyper energetic self, did cartwheels outside. Yesterday we went to this hypermarket called Kroger.

  5. Self- • Definition: This prefix means secluded or alone. Ex: Selfish- only thinking of yourself. • 4 example words: • Selfish • Self orientated • Selfishness • Self run It’s hard to train my dog its so self orientated. – Aysia Berry Being selfish can’t win the race, it can only make you run in circles. – Aysia Berry
