Absences and Tardiness • Be on time and Present every day. • If possible, schedule appointments beyond school time. • Students are responsible for completing any missed homework/classwork. • Please Send a note if absent. Only 3 day to “clear” absences. • If more than 5 minutes late to school, student must obtain a note from • the office.

“How am I doing today?” Color codes Green: On target Yellow: Rising above the rest Orange: Reaching my goal Red: Academic excellence! Focus: PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) and Effort
Homework & Agenda • Students copy the homework in their agendas daily. • Students color in the day with whatever color they earned by the end of the day • Parent(s) will check homework to see if it is complete and correct and says, “Show me the evidence!” Then signs the agenda. • Ms. Gutierrez checks for accuracy and completeness and stamps/initials it daily.
Homework Continued… • Reading for 20 minutes is part of daily homework, including weekends. Reading Logs must be filled out Monday-Thursday. • Missing or late assignments will be accepted no later than the end of lunch of the missing day. • Three or more missing assignments results in one hour detention on Friday. • I do not accept student excuses for missing assignments. However, I do accept all parent notes. • 30consecutive days of complete and on time homework get a pass to the “Homework Party” hosted by Ms. Gutierrez.

Volunteers & Fieldtrips • District needs approve volunteers every year. • One time volunteer does not need livescan and TB test. • More than one time in a school year needs to have livescan and TB test. • Please complete applications ASAP!
