Enhancing Accessibility in Adult Rehabilitation Services

Investigating equality of access to services for adults with Cerebral Palsy in Lanarkshire, addressing confusion among clients and healthcare staff. Through the Non Learning Disabled Virtual Clinic, positive feedback is received, promoting self-acceptance and confidence. A total of 1100 adults with Cerebral Palsy were estimated in Lanarkshire in 2014, with 260 within LD services and 840 unidentified. While 16 were known to AHP services, there may be more unidentified cases. Concerns of parents prompted the investigation into service accessibility and client support.
