Behind unjust situations is human responsibility • Sin is a social, historical fact • Sin is evident in oppressive structures in the exploitation of man by man, in the domination and slavery of peoples, races, and social classes • Christ introduces us into communion - he conquers sin and all its consequences. • Christ is liberator.
El Salvador • Why is Christ the Liberator so central to LALT?

Mujerista Theology (Isasi-Diaz) • A mujeristais someone who makes a preferential option for Latina women, for their struggle for liberation. • The term was developed by a group of theologians and pastoral agents – so the term originated from a religious perspective • Now used in many other fields such as literature and history
Liberative Praxis • Community • Solidarity • Appreciation of Difference • Family
Mujerista Christ • Christology is praxis – out of the reality as marginalised • Christology is historical – struggle for liberation-fullness of life • Christology is ethical stance - what our consciences tell us • Melds “Jesus” and “Christ” into one word – “Jesucristo” • The “Kin-dom” of God (family) – rescues the Kingdom of God from the supernatural order • Jesus is definitive mediator of the kin-dom of God (each one of us also – imago dei)
