  2. There are lots of blackout blinds that are now readily available in the market today. They come in various size, color, and styles. They also provide different functionality to attract consumers to patronize their products. However, no matter how big the number of blinds that can be bought in the market today, it does not mean that each and every of it has the same purpose. To further understand this point of view, here are the different types of blinds, and why you should think carefully before buying for your window.

  3. Vertical Blinds – this type of blinds can give you a substantial reduction of light in your room. Its design depicts overlapping slats which allow little of light to pass through (yet total blockage depends on the color of the blind and the thickness of the slats.

  4. Venetian and wooden Venetian Blinds – this type of blind is the same with vertical blinds, yet it is not tight enough to prevent the light from passing through. And talking about wooden Venetian blinds, it is considered to be the worst blackout blind because it provides gap due to its thickness which blocking for light to pass through is a total failure.

Because of its tightness, it prevents the light to enter in the room so users can have a good sleep in the middle of the day.

  6. Roller blinds – this type of blind offers the largest choice of fabric yet it does not provide good blockage because of its style, it has a 33mm narrow gap which allows the light to pass through.

  7. Cassette roller blind – this is considered to be the best blackout blind because it is fitted in a typically white powder coated aluminum frame that fits snugly in the window. The quality and thickness of the fabric in this type of blind can effectively block the light from coming in may it be from the bottom, side or top. Therefore, it is a complete solution for people who are vying for an effective blackout blind.
