KIM ENGINEERING Ltd./ Bulgaria The firm was founded in 2004. In the beginning the main goal was to develop all types of filters used in the processing of vegetable oils. KIM Engineering Ltd. is exclusive representative for Europe of "Veendeep Oiltek Exports" (India). The production of the company is under the European regulations. It is certified by ISO 9001: 2008 with Certificate № 32100130101. It is certified by ISO 3834-2 with Certificate № 07-202-9020 EN 0034/14 To be up to date with the issues in the oil industry, the company is a member of the “Union of Oil Producers in Bulgaria”.
PressureLeafFilterThepressureleaffilteris a longprovensystem of pressurefiltration Pressure leaf filter consists of filterleaves, each made up from several layers of wire mesh. The inner layer is a coarse mesh for the discharge of the filtrate and support of the outer layers. It is because of this construction that no deposit of filter-aid particles or impurities can enter the filter leaf as there is a constant flow in the coarse mesh and inside the frame. Minimum pressure inside the leaves is guaranteed even at high filtration flow. The filter cake is dried with compressed air, inert gas or steam, before the cake is discharged by a (pneumatic) vibrator connected directly to the reinforced upper side of the filter leaves. The removal of the cake is performed by means of a butterfly or slide valve, or a cake door. Incases of wet cake discharge, the filters areequipped with an oscillating sluice pipe, which is located above the leaves. The filter cake is discharged as concentrated slurry via the bottom cone.

Filtration of CrudeoilThe filtration of crude oil is performed most successfully by means of thepressureleaffiltermade ofstainlessormildsteel. Soliddischargefromthefiltercomes out in the form of dryfiltercaketoensure a minimumlossofoil. Forfiltrationofcoldpressedvegetableoilforfuelorfoodpurposes.
BleachingThe filter can be used for removing thebleachingearthoractivatedcarbonafter bleaching.This way a highquality of oil is achieved.
Winterization Sunflowerandsoyaoilsarecooleddowntocrystalizethewaxesandstearinsin a filterableform. Theseoilsarefilteredwithhorizontal pressureleaffilters. Thefiltercakeis driedwithcompressedairorsteam.
Control filters After each filtration process, it is advisable that the oil is passed through a control filter, so that any particles or impurities ranging from 0.5 to 25 microns could be removed.
Vegetable oil refineries KIM ENGINEERING Ltd. has no single prototype of refinery. Our best achievements have been due to the knowledge we have acquired through experience. Each subsequent refinery is designed in a way so that thereis less dependence on human factors. Processes according to the capacity of the enterprise may be batch or continuous. The company also successfully develops the cycle for circulating water for cooling.
Automation of production processes The computerized control system is designed to control levels, temperature and pressure throughout the whole process. It has a controlling as well as preventing function.
Import of separators for oil industry (with installation and start-up) The separators are monitored through the whole production process - from loading and start-up to the final positive outcome.
