  2. Method A - Digging Out the Stump 1. Dig around the roots.

  3. 2. Cut up the roots.

  7. Method B - Grinding the Stump 1. Locate a stump grinder.

  8. 2. Position it over the stump and start grinding.

  9. 3. Shovel out the grindings.

  10. 4. Fill the hole.

  11. Method C - Burning the Stump 1. Find out if it is legal to burn the stump.

  12. 2. Build a wood fire on top of the stump.

  13. 3. Keep the fire burning.

  14. 4. Shovel out the ash.

  15. 5. Fill the hole.

  16. Method D - Using a Chemical Stump Remover 1. Drill holes in the stump.
