Your Guide to Retirement Living in Ottawa I’m here to help you find the place that makes you feel Healthy, Happy, Home. Laura Polegato Retirement Living Guide & Founder of Supporting Seniors “I have always been passionate about helping seniors. Growing up, I was very close to my grandparents, and I treasure the years we shared. I loved listening to their stories, hearing about the world they grew up in and the wisdom they had to share. Today, I am fortunate to have many wonderful people share their stories with me as I help them transition into the next chapter of their lives.” Laura has dedicated over 20 years to senior advocacy and the support of seniors. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a senior care professional, along with an Honours BA degree in Psychology and Gerontology from the University of Ottawa. Her experience includes roles in seniors outreach services and adult day programming with Abbotsford at The Glebe Centre, experience in long-term care, retirement living, personal caregiving, and volunteering with The Dementia Society. When Laura is not supporting seniors and their families, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and enjoying the natural beauty Ottawa offers. She can often be found walking with her partner Brad and their two dachshunds, Finnigan and Gilligan, in their growing community of Riverside South.
