  2. Converting using the ‘Factor Label’ method • Use the factor label method to easily convert between values.Factor--Must use a conversion factor equivalent to a factor of one. For instance, 1 mi is equivalent to 1.609 km Label--Make sure the labeled units cancel to get to your desired resultExample:

  3. Additional Examples • Has the advantage of being systematic • Useful when doing multi-step conversions Example: The speed of light is about 300 million meters per second. What is the speed of light in units of miles per hour?
