For a list of connecting sites in your area and a schedule of available topics, please call 501-686-8514 or go to www.uams.edu/cdh, then click on Teleconferences & Guidelines The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital is offering a weekly Pediatric Tele-educational Conference: Peds PLACE, broadcast live from Arkansas Children’s Hospital! Peds PLACE will cover a different pediatric problem each week. The conference will be very interactive, and each connecting site will have the ability to interact with the speaker and with each other in real time. A case presentation illustrating the topic to be discussed will begin each session. The speaker will frequently have written a guideline covering the topic discussed, which will be posted on the Web, and will use the case presentation to navigate through the most important parts of the guideline. The inaugural broadcast will be held October 11, 2007 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., with subsequent broadcasts every Thursday. An ANGELS and CTN initiative supported by NIH award RR20146
