  4. Tandem Center Target Dialog • Allow access to my computer… INSERT+ALT+T • Type in the 7 digit Meeting ID provided by the Controller

  5. Tandem Center Controller Dialog • Get access to a computer… • Enable Video is unchecked by default but persistent when changed • Video not recommended when using dial up connection

  6. Tandem Center Controller Dialog • Meeting ID generated from Tandem Center Gateway • Meeting remains available to accept for up to one hour • Dialog must remain open for the Target to accept the meeting

  7. Tandem Direct Target Dialog • Allow access to my computer… • Target and Controller agree on Meeting ID to use

  8. Tandem Direct Controller Dialog • Controller enters the Host Name and agreed upon Meeting ID

Once the Tandem Session Starts • Either user’s keyboard will control the Target’s desktop • Speech and braille output from Target’s desktop is synchronized and provided on both sides • Synthesizer and voice on both computers must match or Eloquence will be used on both • Target side user settings will apply during Tandem session • Controller can use the Windows Clipboard to pass text back and forth between desktop sessions • Text with mark up and formatting will be included • Tandem Sessions have no time restrictions • Continues until connection is dropped or INSERT+ALT+T command • Change Synthesizer or restart of JAWS not allowed during session

Tandem Specific Keystrokes • End Session = INSERT+ALT+T • Either the Target or Controller can end the session at anytime • Same keystroke used by Target to start session if not already in progress • Toggle desktop from Target to Controller = INSERT+ALT+TAB • Controller only option • Sound and spoken indication on both sides when Controller toggles in or out of Target’s desktop • Toggle video output on and off = INSERT+CTRL+SHIFT+V • Controller Only option • Start or pause video • Leave video off when using dial up

Prices for Tandem Center and Direct • Tandem Center • Subscription only based on user’s serial number • Free for Target side • Controller only fee • Quarterly $39 • Annually $139 • Casual use free (TBD) • Free introductory offer starting November 2008 for all users • Tandem Direct • One time fee using an ILM activation flag • Free for Target side • Controller only fee • $495 (includes Remote Access flag, $200 value)
