What is Dual Enrollment? Dual Enrollment is an opportunity for eligible high school students to earn college credit during regular school hours at their home high school. The credit earned may be used to complete an Associate’s Degree as well as a Bachelor’s Degree at a transfer University (depending on the receiving institution’s requirements).
What can Dual Enrollment do for you? Dual Enrollment provides quality learning opportunities and helps high school students prepare for college. Some Dual Enrollment classes receive weighted grades.
Who is it for? Dual Enrollment courses are primarily designed for high school juniors and seniors, however, under classmen are eligible for designated courses. To be eligible to take a Dual Enrollment course, students must meet the pre-requisite criteria for the course and may need to take a free assessment test of current skills in: • English • Math • Science • Foreign Language
How much does it cost? Dual Enrollment classes are $81.00 per credit hour Dual Enrollment classes can be worth 3, 4 or 5 credits depending on subject area.
Taking the same class at The university University classes range from $460.00 To $523.00 per credit. University classes can be 3, 4 or 5 credits depending on the subject area.
Will my child receive College credit? Students who receive a letter grade of a C or better will receive college credit. If you plan on attending an out of stat college/university check with that institution to make sure that your Dual Enrollment class will meet the intended requirement

What are AP Classes? Advanced Placement classes allows students to participate in college level course and possibly earn college credit while still in high school. Students may take an examination at the completion of the course. Acceptable scores allow students to earn credit toward a degree, certificate, or other formal award.
What can AP classes do For you? The main advantage of taking an AP course is better preparation for college. Students also acquire sophisticated academic skills and increased self-confidence in preparation for college. Students who take AP classes receive a weighted grade.

The AP exams are given every year in May. Each college determines the score to be accepted for credit. Colleges may award 3 and sometimes 6 credits per test.
