Kapi’olani Community College Art 258 Interface Programming II In-class Presentation Week 13A
:: Today’s Agenda • 1st Drafts of your site are due today • I will be going through each site on the big screen to see where you are. • Did anyone do any of the tutorials posted last week? • If so, do you have any questions about them? • Notice: • There is another new video tutorial posted on the class web site • How to place flash into an html file using SWFObject • I will not be demonstrating this tutorial in class today. Instead, I want you to do it on your own time, and come to our next class next week with any questions/problems. I will then assess how much time I need to dedicate to it in class. • My goal is to optimize the amount of 1-1 meeting time during our class periods. • I will always be available during office hours for extra questions/concerns. • After all questions are answered, we can then spend the rest of class working on the final project and meeting 1-1.
:: Weekly Assignment • If you haven’t done so yet, complete the two video tutorials posted last week. • The new tutorials are posted off the Art 258 web site. • Links related to the tutorials: • SWFObject: • http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/ • Adobe’s article on SWFObject: • http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/swfobject.html • Adobe’s response to changes in IE: • http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html

(intro, preloaders, etc.) • Loading external content (jpgs, swfs, etc.) • Audio/sound? • Music • Sound effects • This week you should be designing your .html file that will hold your .swf flash file.
