Data Quality Assessments & Spatially Enable Data (DAQA) Completed Products: • Validation process for data to be entered into the NSW NPWS Wildlife Atlas developed & documented • Data was checked for spatial integrity (coordinates) • Data was validated for correct species distribution • Reliability of data records was revisited
SoP Direct00-01/05.14 Objective: Trial to develop State of the Parks reporting mechanism using Publikit software
SoP Direct Completed Products: • Software licence for Publikit purchased for trial • Mock up of trial pages from 2001 State of the Parks report (not yet released) • Testing of databasing functionality of Publikit • Test of Publikit mapping functionality
SoP Direct Issues: • Available version of Publikit software not compatible with ArcIMS - new version promised but not delivered within time frame of the project • No available mapping functionality • Databasing functionality inflexible for descriptive indicators Future Directions: • NPWS committed to continue testing with new version of Publikit (ArcIMS compatible)
ArcSDE00-01/36 Objective: Purchase of ESRI ArcSDE v8 to assist setup of NSW NPWS internet map serving capability
ArcSDE Completed Products • Arc SDE purchased • Spatial framework for map serving utilising database, ArcSDE & ArcIMS currently undergoing testing within NPWS system
ArcSDE Issues: • NPWS currently undergoing development of intranet site and upgrading of internet site • Awaiting NPWS decision on choice of service provider for serving on the internet for utilisation of spatial framework for map serving
