PentecostShavuot (Shah-voo-oat) is one Hebrew name another is Zeman MattanTorahtenu (the time of the giving of the law). It is sometimes called the Festival of Weeks (reference to the seven weeks and one day in between Passover and this holiday). Its Greek name is Pentecost.
