Pacing Principle Brain Pop and blogging
This MmLE is a Brain POP video about blogs. And can be found here: link. Tim and Moby explore what a blog is and what it is used for.
This allows students to start the movie when they are ready.
This toolbar allows students to: • Restart • Rewind • Pause/play • Fast forward • Closed captions • Full screen
The toolbar allows students to move at their own pace, giving them the chance to go back if they need to rehear something. It also allows them to pause the video, add captions and make the video full screen. According to Moreno and Mayer (2007), by allowing students to control the pace of their learning, it not only decreases the difficulty level, but also allows them to digest what they are learning.
