Support for R&D EU CRAFT • enable groups of SMEs to undertake joint research by contracting research to an outside research supplier. EU 6th FRAMEWORK • gives Irish researchers an opportunity to collaborate with leading European companies and research organisations at the cutting edge of technology, with the support of EU funding WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? • A company - large or small - with the capacity to contribute to a research project • A Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) which does not have its own research capability, or an industrial association representing SMEs, or • A research group at a university or at a research institute
Support for R&D RTI • In-company Product/Process Development R&D Capability • Enhance R&D Function • Technology based start-ups with dependence on R&D Innovation Management Initiative • increase the number of companies undertaking R&D for the first time • to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the innovation and R&D process in those companies already undertaking R&D • to achieve value added R&D by capturing the creative potential of employees.
