Fashion Internship Special Project Proposal • Special Project Topic: Tracking Improvement on Sales and KPI’s • Company Name: Wet Seal • Your Name: Kyrstin Meindl • Project Goal: • My goal is to steadily make 50% of assigned segments, or show steady improvement. • I want to see a positive and direct correlation between my improving results and the store’s results. • I want to see change within my associates, and change their performance in a positive way.
Executive Summary • Prepared by: Kyrstin Meindl • For: Wet Seal Inc. • Date: December 16, 2013 • Business Project Proposal: I will track my personal progress using Key Points of Interest in order to improve my selling techniques, grow my business, and develop my leadership skills as a retail manager. • Key findings: The most significant results I found were that my numbers and goals were steadily improving, my store was improving as well. I learned that my numbers have a direct and immediate effect on the store’s progress. • Recommendations: Wet Seal Inc. can benefit from my project, because traffic is low at this moment in time, and the company needs their associates to maximize all potential to make money. This means that selling techniques, visual standards, and strong leaders must have high standards. Every customer counts. In addition, I recommend that Wet Seal accept this project as a growth and development plan for myself and my associates. Conclusion • Overall, my internship was a huge success. Not only did I transform into a better seller to meet my personal goals as an assistant manager, but I saw my improvements have a positive effect on the store and I developed into a strong leader. • Recommendations: • Developing succession plans and action plans for associates • Accountability for all managers- no excuses
