  2. ZERO CONDITIONAL SENTENCES • Use: to express a real condition/ imperative (advice) • Form: • If • When +present simple, present simple • Unless • Examples: • If it is hot, ice-cream melts. • Ice-cream melts if it is hot. • When you are sad, talk to someone. • If people tease you, don’t react.

  4. FIRST CONDITIONAL SENTENCES Use: to express a probable condition. Form: • If • When + present simple, will / shall + an infinitive • Unless Examples: • Ifyou eat too much,you will be fat. • You will be fatifyou eat too much. • I’ll look stupid if I wear it.

  6. SECOND CONDITIONAL SENTENCES Use: to express an imaginary, improbable condition that may not be fulfilled. Form: • If + past simple, would/ should(not) + infinitive Examples: • If I was a millionaire, I would buy an old castle. • I would invite my friends there if I bought the castle. • If I was an actor, I would have great time.
