1. GIG POSTER FOR LIMP BIZKIT

2. WHAT I was asked to create two posters in Photoshop advertising a band . I chose Limp Bizkit because I thought it was interesting how this band had combined to genres of music into their music songs. The assignment brief required me to create two posters with four self taken images , two scanned images and one image taken from the web as our minimum amount of images to use on our poster.

3. What continued ......... I thought it would be a good idea to have poster talking about a new album and the other poster to be talking about a live gig. The title of my live gig poster Limp Bizkit ‘Freak Out’ and the title of my new album is Limp Bizkit ‘Outta This World’. The influence that led to my final design was how things around us can influence our life's and I thought a great example of that was how limp Bizkit are influenced by graffiti and you can see that in their music cd’s my PowerPoint on limp Bizkit helped me to do the poster on that band as I found it easier to do the poster on the band after I had done the PowerPoint on the band. Here I used the planner to work out where everything goes and what we did when so that the work was all planned out.

4. How I went about gathering the images for my photos by finding out what type of images I would need to get a picture of and once I had found out what image I wanted I found the location of where to get the image and took the picture with a camera at different angles.

How part two The Photoshop tools I used were the lasso tool to select parts of the image, then I used the move tool to move images ,then I used the eraser tool to delete parts of the image finally I used the crop tool, I also used the edit transform process to change the scale and rotate the selected image or text.

6. Project Review I thought my project went well as I used a variety of tools and I think I did a good amount of research for my project and it helped me to do my project as I already knew what band to choose. I used new tools like the lasso tool and the magic wand tool to further improve my work by using different tools to change the image size and take parts of the image to add to other images to make a type of collage by adding one image to other images to improve on work.

7. Project Review part two I found it easy to put the images together but I found it difficult to work out the layout of where I wanted everything to go and if I wanted something a particular place why it would work best. I found it difficult also because it took time to do this as there was a lot of work involved. I thought the planner was helpful because it helped me structure my work, it made keep to a steady schedule and stick to my deadline.

8. Future work If I was given the chance to re-do my posters I would go at it in a different way. I would do more work on the production of the poster. Than just working on getting images and would use the magic wand tool so that it improves the quality of my work. The magic wand tool would improve my work by getting parts of the image easier. I would use more detailed planning to further structure my work.

9. Future work part two I think in the future on my work I will use more of a variety of tools to produce better work. I think I can do a more informative description of my work next time as then my work would be more detailed and worth more marks for that unit. I think that unit 9 photo techniques will help with doing unit 10 animation techniques as the techniques in unit 9 will help in unit 10 as unit 9 has helped me be more creative. In unit 10 that will help with the animation techniques. My two smart targets for the future are to work more on my planning of the units so that work is more structured. The other smart target is to focus more on the task in front of me by not being distracted
