  5. Reason 1 • Hurricane Katrina • Housing market in New Orleans, LA • More realtors in Atlanta, GA area

  6. Reason 2 • Drove up overall cost of living in New Orleans • $459.64 difference a month

  7. Reason 3 • Median monthly disposable income higher in Atlanta • (<$500.00) • Ties in with cost of living • Citizens able to spend more money • Leading to a better economy • Better schools, restaurants, attractions, etc. • Increased demand for housing
