Academic departments Pharmaceuticsis the discipline of pharmacy which deals with all facets of the process of turning a new chemical entity (NCE) or biological active compounds/crude drugs into a medication able to be safely and effectively used by the patients. Pharmaceutics is the science of dosage form design and its performance. It is much more than a single area of science; it encompasses a spectrum of diverse scientific disciplines

  4. Academic departments Clinical Pharmacy is relatively modern science, it began about a quarter of a century ago. However, a new generation of clinical pharmacists shows interest of patients, rather than interest in traditional product pharmacotherapy, where the need was and is still desperate for people qualified enough and knowledgeable to use of therapeutic medicine and familiar enough with diseases and to help with the medical team in the care of patients in terms of use of optimization of drugs and health promotion and prevention of disease.

Academic departments Pharmacognosy The department teaches courses include the collection of vegetable or animal origin, storage and separation of its components and prepared for use in the formulation of pharmaceuticals. The department participates through its courses to the basic areas of occupational choice in food analysis and teaching methods to identify drugs and toxins and steroids.

Academic departments Pharmaceutical Chemistry The department, in addition to the rest of the departments endeavors to graduate pharmacists working in all regions of the Kingdom and provide pharmacy services as well as health services to the citizens in all sectors, public and private. The department coincided with the calendar section and its modifications in his plans to cope-up with “The National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment” and development is still going on.

  7. Academic departments Pharmacology Departmental courses includes Pharmacology and Toxicology . Our student’s Lab is considered as one of the important laboratories in the Pharmacy College. It has been equipped to suit the needs for teaching the practical aspect of the department courses.

  8. Pharmacy in SAU • B. Pharm. Sc. • This degree requires five years of study. The students must completethe whole program including 170 credit hours of which 3 hours for graduation project in the final year. • Pharm. D. • This degree requires six years of study. The program composed of 204 credit hours including 30 hours of Clerkships during the final year.
