Join us for an event to celebrate and value the talent of our professional staff at the University of Sheffield. This event will provide an opportunity to meet the Registrar and senior professional staff, discuss opportunities and expectations, and update on the progress of the Sheffield Professional initiative. Prizes and fun activities included.

What is ‘The Sheffield Professional’? • A positive way of describing the experience of working in a professional services role at the University • A set of principles which describe the agreed ways in which we behave and can expect our leaders, managers and colleagues to behave • A work in progress! Things we already do • Mentoring schemes – GROW in Engineering and MDH • Workshadowing – Centre of the University Programme (CUP) in Student Services “Understanding the pressures on academic staff and understanding each other's work made the department and its work more tangible [and] gave us both ideas on how we can work better together.” • Other examples across the University.
