BABY & ME - Tobacco Free Program is an evidence-based effort aimed at reducing prenatal smoking rates in Indiana. With partnerships and an inter-professional approach, the program provides prenatal sessions, postpartum visits, and free diapers. The program has shown success with a 70% quit rate at 6 months postpartum. Expansion plans include reaching more women and partnering with additional organizations for greater impact.

Indiana 2010-2012, Prenatal Smoking Percentages In 2012, 16.5 % of women in Indiana reported smoking during their pregnancy. Indiana’s Program Oct 2013 – Sept 2014: Enroll 300 Women Enrollment goal met: April 2014 Quit rate of 70% (as of June 2014) Oct 2014 – Expansion to include partners
