This study explores the frequencies of resistance-associated amino acid variants (RAVs) detected by 454-sequencing during combination treatment with Boceprevir plus PEGINTRON/Ribavirin. The research investigates RAVs detected at baseline, decline in RAV viral load after a 4-week lead-in, and RAV frequencies at virologic failure. Conclusions discuss the significance of RAVs in interferon-responsive patients and their selection and decline during follow-up.
