Narrative Kevin picks up his guitar once again. On a Saturday morning on her way to work, she passes through the park unknowingly to her Kevin is waiting for her arrival; she almost passes him until begins to play the music from the precious music sheet, and sings the lyrics they once wrote together. Shocked by his appearance she can’t help but let her emotions overwhelm her and he walks up to him and asks him for a coffee. Repeating the cycle over again, with hope both in their hearts they start back from square one. END He finds out from his band member that he has spotted her working in the same coffee shop her once took her to. He immediately go there to apologise and win her back. Stunned by his arrival Rachel’s heart tinges but suppresses her emotions. Nervous he tries to get her to reaccept him but finds she has changed into a different person unable to trust or love anymore. Ultimately rejecting Kevin and states “ I’ve given up on music it’s a pipe dream, I’m moving on with my life” and says that “he should do the same” . He returns to the apartment and begins to give up hope feeling he has lost her forever. In a desperate attempt to hold onto something he sorts through the sheets of music, which are all scribed with Rachel’s handwriting. Amongst them he finds the song they created together (“their song”). Kevin Williams: College dropout, amateur musician and part time worker. Rachel Langley: Student / singer song writer. Both have an indescribable passion for music. Set in urban West London. Kevin returns from the tour unsure of how to approach Rachel. He returns to the flat but their are no signs of Rachel excepts from the music lyrics she wrote . Desperate to find her he tries to search but is unsuccessful and his life begins to fall apart. A month later with no word from Kevin Rachel is left feeling neglected, distraught and paranoid. This brings up memories of her parents desertion and feels like history is repeating itself she falls into a state of depression and starts to write darker music expressing her dark psychological state. MED Kevin is caught up in his potential career and fails to call Rachel as often as he promised. The calls then get reduced to none at all. Kevin's band gets hired to be an opening act. Rachel doesn’t fully trust him but allows him to go with the promise he’ll call everyday. Their collaborations continue and they get emotionally attached , they fall madly in love with each other and decided to move in. They create more music and a melody that they name as “their song” The relationship begins to build and their lives start moving in the right direction. BEG Their worlds collide when they meet in a music shop and decided to go for a coffee. They find out more about each other and bond over their love of music . They decided to do a collaboration and they instantly have the chemistry.
The plan is put into motion the following day and grabs Rachel's attention Kevin's heart almost bursts when Rachel asks to take him out for a coffee, and with anticipation of resuming their relationship he agrees. Here, Kevin has learnt to hold the things he thought most dearest closest to him; it used to be just music but now a priority has taken that over, Rachel. Main Character: Kevin Williams END With all hope lost he returns back to the apartment and begins to tidy up and he finds the sheet of paper which is their song. He comes up with a plan to play the song for Rachel once more in a last attempt to get her back. Eventhough he has no idea where she could be , he tries to search for her anyways. After a failed attempt for a couple of days straight he begins to loose hope until his band mate tells him he has seen her working in the coffee shop they once talked in. He goes to beg her forgiveness but she rejects him. The busy schedule and lifestyle takes a while for Kevin to handle in which he hasn’t found any time to call or have proper conversations with Rachel. Kevin recognises this but still remains faithful.. And promises to call when things get calmer. Here the audience will sympathise with Rachel and feel Kevin's actions are cruel. After a month Kevin returns unsure of his feelings but finds that Rachel has left the flat and reads the lyric which clearly show Rachel’s emotions and is desperate to fix his relationship. Audiences will sympathise the most with his desperation and be on his side. He collaborates with her more and finds inspiration unlike before and they create more songs, one which is entitled “their song”. Kevin is truly in love and his life starts to go in the right direction. Soon he finds fellow musicians to partner with and his dreams are slowly but surely coming into formation. MED After a while his band gets the chance they were looking for to become an opening act and they get to tour . Kevin tells Rachel but she is not immediately pleased He sees Rachel's worries and promises to call her everyday to show his faithfulness. The character the audience will meet is the male protagonist of the film. Named Kevin Williams he is a college drop out leaving education, that he was not so fond of, behind in favour of perusing his musical career. He lives in a shared flat assigned to him and plays his guitar in the near by park so he can get inspired to create a new song. Rachel and Kevin talk find out more about each other , with the most important factor being the music. . Kevin finds out about Rachel's singing and song writing and he tell her about how his ambition is to form a band or even go “solo”. Wanting to see more of Rachel, he suggests they collaborate she agrees. The chemistry is there and they collaborate more often budding an emotional attachment to each other . He falls madly in love and asks her to move in with him, she agrees. Then at his part time job at a music shop, he notices a customer walk in and recognises the face of the girl which passes him everyday. He decides that their meeting is fate and asks her out for a coffee. BEG Whilst he plays in the park he notices a girls pass him but doesn’t think anything more of it than curious interest.
Main Character: Rachel Langley She tries to forget Kevin and walks through the park on her way to work when she sees him on the same park bench he once was on months ago. This time she decided to not glance at him but walk. However when she hears their song her heart softens and decided to take the risk reversing the roles and asking him for coffee this time. END Stunned by his arrival Rachel’s heart tinges but suppresses her emotions. Nervous he tries to get her to reaccept him but finds she has changed into a different person unable to trust or love anymore. Ultimately rejecting Kevin and states “ I’ve given up on music it’s a pipe dream, I’m moving on with my life” and says that “he should do the same” . After some help from her old flat mate she gets her life back together and decided to change her life leaving school and getting a job at the local coffee shop. This leads to her remembering her parent's desertion when she was at a young age bringing up several bad memories. Feeling abandoned again after most of her years being alone, she spirals into a depression in which she begins to alter her mindset as well as her music. She begins to create darker pieces of music which have unfathomable lyrics expressing her dark psychological state. The audience will also meet the female protagonists Called Rachel Langley, she is a university student that has the dream of becoming a singer sing writer but has got the courage to follow through She is determined young girl who shares an apartment with her friend and doesn’t like speaking of her parents to anyone MED Rachel then feel worried by the change in her life when Kevin tell her the news of his band going on tours as an opening act. She has trust issues but she give him her blessing after he promises to call her everyday. Rachel calls Kevin expecting a full conversation but only gets a rushed ‘now’s not a goodtime’ or ‘I’ll call you later ‘making her suspicious. Several days pass by and Rachel begins to feel neglected. She tries to call Kevin several times but receives voicemail every time. A month later and still no word of Kevin apart from a short text promising ‘He’ll call back soon’ leaves Rachel distraught and paranoid. Rachel falls in love with Kevin and the music build a better relationship between them. She feels her life e is getting better and evolving. Friday evening Rachel follows her usual routine, she runs out of music paper and decides to go to the music shop the following day. The net day she is shocked to find that mysterious guy in the park behind the counter. She tries to act cool but her eagerness is easily shown . He asks her out for a coffee and she agrees. Here the audience will relate to her character especially our target audience of females between 15-25 years old as its the fantasy of a fairytale meeting which hooks them. BEG On her usual route through the park she notices a mysterious guy playing the guitar on a park bench. She see him more often and she begins to anticipate her walks to Uni.
