  3. So what does it look like? 1 4 2 3 a) 2 intersecting lines form 4 angles b) Vertical angles are opposite one another with NO common sides c) But they do have a common vertex (so 1 and 3 are vertical angles) d) Vertical angles are congruent

  4. What if I have a complex figure? How do I find the vertical angles? • Find the intersecting lines • Now locate the angles which are opposite from one another - so 1 and 4 are vertical - and 5 and 2+3 are vertical 1 5 2 3 4
