  2. WHAT IS THE WORLD GYMNAESTRADA? • The biggestgymnasticsfestival in theworld • Every fouryears in anothercity • Over 20,000 participants from over 50 nations • Uniqueness: „Gymnasticsfor all“ – nocompetitions • Aim: doinggymnasticstogetherwithother countries withoutpressuretoperform

WHO CAN TAKE PART? • All gymnasticgroupswhowouldlovetotakepart • Norestrictionsregardinggroupsize, talent, gender, age, religionorsocialstatus • Gymnasticsfor ALL – all arewelcome • The gymnasticgroupshouldbe registered withtheir national association, who must be a memberofthe International GymnasticsFederation (FIG). The officialregistrationismadebyyour national association. We will bepleasedtohelpifyouhaveanyquestions.

  4. WHEN AND HOW? • 6th to 12th August 2019 • 7 days / 8 over-nightstays • Host city: Amsterdam, Netherlands • Accommodation (schools and hotels), catering and transfersareorganised • Itshouldbemadefinancially possible for all groupstotake part.

  5. PROCEDURE • Registration with your national association • Gymnastics groups travel to Amsterdam • Accommodation in hotelsorschools, sleepingmats, blankets, etc. are all organised • Catering: Breakfast is in theschools/hotels; lunch canbeordered (will beserved in thecatering hall) • Transfer fromtheaccommodationtotheperformancehallsisorganised, onlyshortjourneys (max. 30 minutestransfer) • Participation in different performances • Watchingotherperformances of gymnastics groupsfromother countries • Free-time programme will beprovided

TAKING PART IN PERFORMANCES • All participantshavecompulsoryperformances and canregisterifinterested in additional variable performances.Both compulsoryperformances: • Opening Ceremony:Marching-In: Gymnastic groupsmarchintothestadium, wearingtheir national costumes,wavingtheir national flag and taketheirplace in the stands. • Group Performance:Threeperformancesforgroups of minimum 10 persons of 10-15 minutesover a period of threedays. • Noevaluation, takingpartiswhatmattersORparticipation in theWorld-Team

VARIABLE PERFORMANCES Groups, whoareinterestedhavethepossibilitytoregisterforthefollowingperformances: Large-Group Performances forgroups of minimum 200 persons City Performances forgroups of 10 personsminimumperformed on an open-airstage in a citycentre National Performances togetherwithothergymnasticgroupsofthecountry/continentpresentingtheirownshowsshowingtheirowncultures, traditions, nationality FIG-Galaspecialgroupsareselected in whichthevarietyofgeneralgymnasticsarebroughttogetherandshown World-Teamis an international large-group, everybodycanparticipate, groupsof all sizes

THE WORLD-TEAM= International Large Group • ALL cantakepart - nogroupnecessary, individualscantakepart • The choreography is provided at the end of 2021, it will be independently learnt at home, • duringthe World Gymnaestrada theparticipantsfrom all countries cometogetherfor a dress • rehearsalandperformtwoshows • groupswith a maximum of 10 personsorindividualsforthe World-Team of the World Gymnaestrada cantakepart • individualsfromexistingparticipatinggroupscanparticipate

  9. REASONS FOR TAKING PART IN THE WORLD GYMNAESTRADA • Enjoymentofgymnastics • Revitalisationofthesport • Interested in other countries • Presentingowncountry • International exchange • Contactwithotherclubs • Learning fromeachother • Part ofthe Gymnaestrada-Family

BASIS AND MULTIPLIER FOR GYMNASTICS • Onlythosewhoenjoygymnastics will become a gymnast. • This is valid forpopularsportaswellasthecompetitivesport. • The World Gymnaestrada– inspirestheenjoyment of gymnastics and numerouspeoplecanseeupclosethejoyful and informal style – motivates and activatespeopletoexercise and forms a centralbasisfor gymnastics and itsfurtherdevelopment – is an importantmultiplier. The international participantsspreadtheirenthusiasmforgymnasticsthroughoutthewholeworld, spreadingthemessageandnetworking via socialmediawithothergymnasts. – strengthensthesignificanceofgymnastics, bornebythedynamicsoftheevent. • Finally in every Gymnaestrada participant a lobbyistforgymnasticsishidden …
