When? Guess when……. NOW!
When? How much? How long is a piece of string? It is widely accepted that students who spend 30 hours per subject on their revision will have a significantly higher chance of exam success. So do I wait until the last two weeks and then do 24 hours a day on each of my subjects. With no sleep! Not a good plan! So, start earlier, produce a plan and stick to it. Two hours a week night and four hours on Saturday and Sunday, that gives 18 hours revision a week. Excellent but it needs to be divided up. You also need time for you. Exercise, social time & a good diet are all important.
When? A Revision Plan eh? Crazy idea! Within each subject you then need to focus on a topic. Eg Maths: Fractions Do 25 minutes then take 5 minute break. Walk, grab a drink, talk to someone.
When? Where to start? Write down your subjects. Divide each one up into small topics. Write them into your revision plan. Start revising and remember to reward yourself, take breaks, get exercise, eat well, sleep well, de-stress, drink plenty of water, communicate to people. As long as you have given you best efforts, no-one can ask for more. The result will be what you deserve.
