PGen An ad hoc PCC query tool that allows user defined selection of demographic and/or non-visit related data as well as custom report formatting and outputs including creation of delimited output files for export to PC-based programs.
VGen An ad hoc query tool that allows user selection from an array of demographic, visit, and/or clinical data based on visit dates. Report format is user defined and may include totals, totals and subcounts, saving templates, printed reports as defined by the user and creation of delimited files suitable for export to PC-based programs.

PGen PGEN is primarily used for reports looking at Demographic information or non-visit related data. No visit dates may be entered. Menu Path: PCC Management Reports – PLST – PGEN PGEN reports may be run for a: S Search Template of Patients P Search All Patients R CMS Register of Patients
VGen VGEN is used for generating reports when visits during a desired date range are to be examined. Data to be included on reports may include both demographic and clinical data. Menu Path: PCC Management Reports – QA - VGEN VGEN reports may be run for a: P Search Template of Patients V Search Template of Visits S Search All Visits R CMS Register of Patients
Summary of PGEN/VGEN Steps When running either a PGEN or VGEN report, the user will make choices at 4 separate stages: 1. Patient or Visit Selection Screen 2. Output Selection Screen 3. Print Selection Screen 4. Sort Selection Screen
Patient or Visit Selection On the Patient or Visit Selection Screen typing S <enter> indicates the user will be making one or more selections from the screen displayed. One or more selections may be made on the selection screen (think of them as Qman attributes) by typing the numbers of the selections. Use the ↓ or ↑ to move up or down to see additional listings on next or previous screens. If you begin with either a Case Management Register or a Template of Patients , the Patient Selection Screen will be skipped in PGEN.
Report Output Selection The Report Output Selection Screen: Select one of the following: T Total Count Only S Sub-counts and Total Count C Cohort/Template Save D Detailed Patient Listing L Delimited Output File for use in Excel Choose Type of Report: D//
Print Selection Screen If either a Detailed (D) or a Delimited (L) file format is chosen for an Output Option, the user will be presented with a screen of data elements for selection to either be printed on a hard copy report or included in the delimited file. On the Print Selection Screen, the user will type an S followed by <enter>, and then type the numbers of the data elements that he/she wishes to print or include in the delimited output file.
Sort Selection Screen The Sort Selection Screen. On this screen the user may select how they wish the data on the report to be sorted. The user merely types the number of the data element displayed on the screen. If no data item is selected from the Sort Selection Screen, the report will be sorted alphabetically by Patient for PGEN reports and numerically by Visit Date for VGEN reports.
Custom Report Title Any printed report run in PGEN or VGEN may be provided with a Custom Title, e.g. Q1 Visits with Medicare insurer. If the logic for creating the report has been saved. The report may be run monthly, quarterly or as desired with a custom title for each time the report is run.
Reusing Stored Logic The selection, print, and sort logic for any detailed or delimited output report run in VGEN or PGEN may be stored for reuse, e.g. MEDICARE REPORT. The logic may be used as desired by entering the name of the logic when prompted in either PGEN or VGEN: Do you want to use a PREVIOUSLY DEFINED REPORT? N//Y REPORT NAME: MEDICARE REPORT
