Revenue Limits • 1993 revenue limits and QEO • 1996 2/3rds funding added and revenue limits made permanent • 2003 State repeals 2/3rds funding • 2009 State repeals QEO
Revenue Limits • Restrict the amount of money a school district can receive through the sum of state general aid and local property tax levies. • Restrict revenue from Funds 10, 39, and 41. • Revenue limits were designed to control property tax
Reduction History • 2002 – 03 $753,000 11.5 staff members reduced • 2003 – 04 $74,880 2.6 staff members reduced • 2004 – 05 $311,469 5 retirements not replaced • 2006 – 07 $710,511 8 staff members reduced • 2008-2012 $448,990 7 staff members reduced

Referendum Resolution BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of The School District of Sturgeon Bay, Door County, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School Districts budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $1,000,000 for the 2013-2014 school year only; by $1,300,000 for the 2014-2015 school year only; and by $1,600,000 for the 2015-2016 school year only, for non-recurring purposes consisting of funding educational programming for students.
