  1. How to Change Black Ink to Color on a Dell 940 Printer

  2. Step 1:The primary step is to get into your computer control panel, go to the start button on your desktop & then click on it, then go to settings & click on it and afterwards on control panel & click on that.

  3. Step 2:One time your are in control panel you'll see the printers and faxes icon .You will have to click on that.

  4. Step 3:You will then right-click on the icon for your printer (i.e the printers' name & model name) & then go to properties option and click on it which will bring you to the property sheet.

  5. Step 4:After that you see a numeral of tabs for that particular printer, typically it will be labeled setup, color management, etc, you will select this.

  6. Step 5 : The last steps is to select the color radio button in its place of the black button and then close out all the windows of control panel to get back to your desktop. Now afterwards your printer will be printing in color.
