The Health Consumer Powerhouse aims To drive improvement in healthcare provision through increased transparency and inter-country comparisons; • To use existing information to empower consumers to generate improvements in healthcare provision; • To assist citizens in making the most of the opportunities their healthcare systems provide.

A new world of information • Open performance benchmarks will become the single most important tool for change of all kinds of services: • Governance, funding • Provision • Consumption • Pre-vetted, authorised information – or a free flow of competitive sources? • Who challenges the System? • Setting new standards - as long as you add value.
