Process Grant Making Process: FAQs • How do I get an application? • What is the application like? • Any changes to the application this year? • What should be included with the proposal? • How many copies do I submit? • When are the deadlines? • How many applications can I submit in one cycle?

  19. Process Strategies for Success • Discuss proposal with GCRCF staff prior to deadline. (I will review proposal up to 10 days before deadline) • Pay attention to what was funded in 2007 • Proof your proposal – spell check! Did you include everything? • Make it easy on the grant committee • Use the application outline to organize your points • Organize the material in your proposal • Be selective

  20. Process The Nitty Gritty Detail Countdown… 5. Use the cover sheet template 4. Do not bind your request or use folders 3. Collate 2. Three-hole punch everything that goes to the committee …and… 1. PLEASE NO STAPLES! Use binder clips or paper clips instead of staples.
