dsport: Inspire, Enable, Achieve - Empowering People with Disabilities through Sports and Recreation

dsport is a registered charity and incorporated society in the Wellington Region. Our mission is to provide people with physical disabilities the opportunity to participate fully in sport, recreation, and leisure activities of their choosing. We activate, advocate, and facilitate, working with Paralympians, international representatives, national competitors, recreational participants, and young members aged 5 to 18. Our youth group offers a range of inclusive sports and leisure activities, providing pathways to sport, opportunities to compete, and social networks for our young members and their families.

  8. Development Squad Our members are active at the local level, but also represent both Parafed Wellington at the national level and New Zealand at the international level. Most of our national and international representatives are adults who compete in a wide range of sports. We have a strong tradition of representation and we wish to see this continue to grow and develop. As such, we are establishing a Development Squad for young or novice athletes who wish to enhance the personal skills and expertise by providing a stepping stone to the Paralympics NZ pathway. We believe our role is to prepare our members to the best of our ability but still keeping it fun and family focused. PLACEHOLDER – ABSTRACT IMAGE OR COLOUR BOX
