The Honours Bachelor Program • Are you a motivated and talented student? • Who scored good grades in block 1.1 and in high school? • And likes an extra challenge? • Are in the study programs of FEB. • Then you are a good candidate for the Faculty’s Honours Bachelor Program.
Some information Application and selection Dec - Jan. Start program in Feb 2014. Selection based on: high school grades grades block 1.1. Motivation! Special Honours Bachelor Certificate at graduation. 10/31/2014 | 4
Honours Bachelor Program Basic FEB part – worth 25 ECT* Part of the University of Groningen Honours College (HC). Seminars, courses, research projects, field trips, forums, etc. Two possible follow up parts – each worth 20 ECT* Broadening track or Deepening track Together 45 ECT over your bachelor study 10/31/2014 | 5

The aim of the deepening track is • To offer tailor-made and content-based courses to those students who already know that they want to specialize themselves in a certain field of Business and/or Economics. • Toenablestudentsto make aninformedchoiceaboutwhat kind of master program to follow (regular, research, top)

Questions you should ask yourself… • Am I willingandableto deal with the extra workload of 45 EC extra to 180 EC of your own bachelor? (This is 25%, so about 1 day a week extra on average!) • Am I willing to sacrifice other activities for the HonoursProgramme? • Am I interested in learning more about research? • Am I willing to take both deepening and broadening courses ? • How do I evaluate alternatives, such as a second study program, joining an EBF board, having a job? Why would I select the Honours Program above them?

Application Information • Letter neededonlyforteachers/employersoutside FEB • Teachers from FEB (ourfaculty), intentof referencesufficient. They do not have toprovide a letter • Application, motivation etc. in English • Reference letters preferably in English but notcompulsory
