  5. How do I create an outline? A. Determine the purpose of paper 1. inform 2. explain 3. argument B. Determine the audience of paper

  6. Next: Brainstorm • After reading research and developing thesis • List all the ideasthat you want to include in your paper.

  7. Then: Organize and Order • Group related ideastogether • Arrange material in subsections from general to specific or from abstract to concrete.

  8. Vital Outline Concepts • Must use roman numerals • Only complete sentence is thesis • Must indent sub sections • Keep it BRIEF
