  2. God our Maker doth providefor our wants to be supplied;come to God’s owntemple, come,raise the songof harvest home.

  3. Come, Ye Thankful People, Come (2) 2.All the world isGod’s own field,fruit as praise to God we yield;wheat and tarestogether sownare to joy or sorrow grown;

  4. first the bladeand then the ear,then the full corn shall appear;Lord of harvest, grant that wewholesome grainand pure may be.

  5. Come, Ye Thankful People, Come (3) 3.For the Lordour God shall come,and shall takethe harvest home;from the field shall in that dayall offenses purge away,

  6. giving angelscharge at lastin the fire the tares to cast;but the fruitfulears to storein the garner evermore.

  7. Come, Ye Thankful People, Come (4) 4.Even so, Lord,quickly come,bring thy final harvest home;gather thou thy people in,free from sorrow,free from sin,

  8. there, forever purified,in thy presence to abide;come, with allthine angels, come,raise the gloriousharvest home.
