The samurai were like the knights of Europe. They followed a code of ethics known as Bushido – the way of the warrior.

Samurai learned to read and write, to fence, wrestle, horseback ride and do archery.
Samurai learned to face hardship and death. They would train themselves by walking barefoot in the snow or working in very high heat.
When a samurai becomes 13-15, he becomes an adult and gets his suit of armor.
He wears two swords: one for battle and the other shorter one for committing seppuku, if necessary.
